I'm a frontend developer and mechatronics engineer based in İstanbul. I build websites that look sharp, load fast, and feel right on every browser and device.

About Me

I'm Serdar Gökhan, a mechatronics engineer who graduated from Marmara University. I live in İstanbul, started coding while I was still in university, and in June 2021 I set out to build for the web.

I started with the fundamentals — HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — and made sure I really understood them. That foundation helped me pick up React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript quickly.

Along the way I've built a lot of projects, and I want to keep sharpening my skills and getting better at what I do. The web never stands still, and that's exactly what I love about it.

    Current

    Frontend Developer, Borusan Otomotiv

    • Migrated legacy JavaScript modules to TypeScript incrementally, eliminating dead code and tightening types to raise code quality and make refactors safer.
    • Developed and shipped user-facing features on Borusan Next, building responsive, accessible pages on a Next.js codebase alongside design and backend teams.
    • Built internal dashboards used across the business shipping data-driven interfaces with cross-functional teams that support day-to-day operations.
    • Applied AI-assisted development practices using AI tooling deliberately for implementation, refactoring, and code review to ship faster without lowering quality.

  2. İstanbul, Türkiye

    EnterERP

    Frontend Developer, EnterERP

    • Developed, maintained, and shipped e-commerce sites with TypeScript and Next.js, playing a key role on Baxana and Molimba and serving thousands of users.
    • Built the official site for EnterERP from scratch with Next.js and Tailwind, using SEO techniques to grow visibility and organic traffic.
    • Cut initial document size 27% and HTTP requests 18% with dynamic imports, image optimization, code splitting, and minification, improving page load times and Core Web Vitals.
    • Designed and implemented vendor integrations for shipping, marketplace, and payments from multiple vendors, creating a shared API for internal use cases with TypeScript and Node.js.

    • Improved my JavaScript skills by practicing the language fundamentals throughout the internship.
    • Learned React and Next.js and practiced their core concepts by building small features.
